If you’re looking for a great day out for all the family, an adrenalin fix or simply to connect with nature, Lake Mountain is your answer.

With a double-billing of extremes –  a peaceful escape to one of Victoria’s most exciting all-year-round outdoor playgrounds – the resort has something for everyone ranging from scenic picnic spots and panoramic outlooks to bushwalks and environmental tours to action-packed activities like the exhilarating 240-metre flying fox, all-weather tube run and laser skirmish.

The resort’s extensive network of mountain bike trails assures plenty of thrills for recreational pedal pushers as well as the hard core single-track thrill seekers. And, road cyclists, motorcyclists and car enthusiasts love testing their mettle as the tackle the tarmac to the summit.

Within the resort hub, the Alpine Burger Bar gets the taste buds working overtime with its delicious light lunches and snacks. The bar, which is open from Fridays through to Mondays, also offers a selection of local wines to sip while soaking in the refreshing mountain air. It features an outside deck an occasional live music.

In addition, the resort offers conference facilities and catering for corporate, club and private functions.
One of Australia’s premier cross country ski destinations, Lake Mountain is located in the Yarra Ranges National Park.

The shedding of its winter coat of snow heralds the end of the ‘white’ season and the start of the equally exciting ‘green’ season at the resort.

And, it is all sooo close … just a two-hour drive from the Melbourne CBD through the stunning Yarra Valley and the breathtaking tall timbers of the Black Spur, or an easy journey from the north east via the picturesque Goulburn Valley.

The quaint township of Marysville is the gateway to the mountain with its welcoming cafes restaurants and accommodation options, and from here it is a stunning cruise up to the Lake Mountain Alpine Resort.
